Within the scope of the social responsibility project named "Let Every Child Smile" organized by our student Aysu Temüge under the coordination of faculty member Yusuf Buzdağlı, children with leukemia being treated in Erzurum City Hospital were not forgotten.
During the visit, which took place under the supervision of Dr. Fatma Aslan and Dr. Özgü Hançerli, our students gave morale to children with leukemia with various gifts and activities. Dr. Fatma Aslan stated that leukemia has a difficult 2-year treatment process and that they make an extra effort to provide psychological support to children during this process. At the same time, she stated that due to the difficulty of the treatment process, it is not possible to hold such organizations frequently, given the risk of infection.
During the visit, in addition to presenting gifts specially prepared for the sick children, the students organized various activities and contributed to the morale of the children. The students participating in the project emphasized that such activities not only support children with leukemia, but also play an important role in raising the social responsibility awareness of the society.
This meaningful visit within the scope of the "Let Every Child Smile" project had a positive impact on the children undergoing leukemia treatment, and created emotional moments among the students.
