Within the scope of the 'Volunteering Studies' course conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevinç NAMLI, one of the faculty members of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of our faculty, the students implemented the project "No School Without Library on April 23rd".

Before April 23, they collected thousands of books and established a library at Dumlu Primary School, 20 km from the city center. Then, they distributed gifts to the children and played fun games accompanied by music. Children showed great interest in the event, which was like a mini festival.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevinç Namlı congratulated her students for this proud work and emphasized the importance of keeping the spirit of volunteerism alive. She also shared the happiness of organizing such a meaningful event on April 23rd, in addition to dressing 300 children during the Ramadan Feast. "No matter how much I explain the volunteering course theoretically, young people can understand the true meaning of volunteering when they touch the heart of a child. In this sense, we can see from the eyes of children and young people how successful our activities are. We forget the tiredness of the activities we have been working on for days with the happiness in those eyes."
