The medal ranking was announced as a result of the competitions organised by the University Sports Federation of Turkey in the 2023-2024 period.

Erzurum Technical University (ETU) achieved a great success by ranking 2nd in the General Medal Distribution of Inter-University Sports Competitions organised by the University Sports Federation of Turkey (TÜSF) in the 2023-2024 period.

In the tournaments organised with the participation of 161 universities in the 2023-2024 season, ETU ranked second with 25 gold, 8 silver and 13 bronze medals.

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak stated that they are very happy with the success achieved and said, ‘Since the day we took office, we have endeavoured to use our facilities to the fullest for sports, cultural and artistic activities as well as our academic and scientific studies. The result obtained at the point we have reached today is one of the clearest indicators of this. We had many students from almost all faculties, especially our Faculty of Sports Sciences, participating in tournaments in various fields. Throughout the season, we tried to be with all our athletes regardless of the branch. We shared their efforts, excitement, struggles and enthusiasm. There was almost no tournament that we returned empty-handed during the season. In this process, our teachers and coaches, especially our athletes, worked with great devotion. On this occasion, I congratulate them once again wholeheartedly and wish them continued success. We will continue to stand by sports and athletes.’
