Palandöken Economic Forum, organized in partnership with Erzurum Technical University (ETU), continues with special sessions on its second day.
The Palandöken Economic Forum began with the opening session on the first day, moderated by the President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Mustafa Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and attended by the President of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States Binali Yıldırım, AK Party Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, and Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy.
In the session, Türkiye's digitalization process, investment opportunities and regional growth opportunities were evaluated together with representatives of the international business world. Participants discussed the steps that need to be taken to strengthen Türkiye's position in the age of smart economies.
The second day of the forum began with a session titled "Accelerating the Future: Industry and Services Transformed by Artificial Intelligence." The session addressed the effects of artificial intelligence on the business world and the service sector, and the transformations in many areas from education to health, from manufacturing to retail were comprehensively analyzed by experts.
The effects of digital transformation on economic structures on a global scale were discussed in the "Smart Economies in the Global Economic Agenda" session held at noon. Participants evaluated the opportunities and risks presented by the Industry 4.0 concept.
In the later part of the day, the session titled "Climate Change, Ecological Transformation and Energy Policies" focused on sustainability, green economy and renewable energy. Experts discussed the impact of ecological transformation on economic growth.
Then, in the session titled Türkiye's Investment Horizon: Opportunities and Future Vision, moderated by TOBB President Mustafa Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, the role Türkiye can play in the age of smart economies and the effects of global economic transformation on the country were discussed in light of Turkey's strategic geographical location, young and dynamic workforce, developing infrastructure and investor-friendly policies.
In the last session of the forum, "Inequalities Created by the Transformation Period: Global Cooperation and Sustainable Future Strategies", global inequalities caused by technological transformation and possible solution strategies that can be developed against them will be evaluated.
