Erzurum Governor Mustafa Çiftçi visited Erzurum Technical University (ETU), which continues its preparations without slowing down before the 2024-2025 Academic Year.
Governor Çiftçi visited ETU, which continues its scientific activities as well as infrastructure and superstructure works without interruption in order to provide a more qualified education to its students in the new academic year, and met with Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak and received information about ongoing projects and preparations.
Rector Çakmak informed Governor Çiftçi about the new term planning of ETU and then took his guest to the recently inaugurated Tarımsan Engineering R&D Laboratory, which was established in cooperation with the university-industry within the High Technology Application and Research Center, and gave information about the innovative projects to be carried out on increasing plant yield and developing resistance to plant diseases with biotechnological methods.
Stating that ETU is a very valuable value for the higher education of the country, Governor Çiftçi expressed that the studies carried out are very pleasing and conveyed his wishes of success to Rector Çakmak before the new semester.
Rector Çakmak, who expressed his satisfaction with the visit, stated that joint projects that can be realized between institutions are of great importance and emphasized that the collaborations to be made can make significant contributions to the regional economy.
