Erzurum Technical University (ETU) Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak continues his visits to public, private sector and non-governmental organizations.
In this context, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. İrfan Kaymaz, Prof. Dr. Birol Soysal, Engineering and Architecture Faculty Dean Fatih Yetim and ETU Technology Transfer Office Manager Ahmet Dumlu accompanied Rector Bülent Çakmak who visited BEB 3D Design company.
Expressing his satisfaction with the visit, BEB 3D Design R&D officer Hakan Şahin said, “We continue our activities in Erzurum with our production facility established on an area of 2,500 square meters and equipped with technologies that can meet the needs of our age. As a result of the feasibility studies and research, we produce prototypes within our own structure; We are mass-producing charging stations and led luminaires for electric vehicles. In this direction, we would be delighted to provide added value to our city and country with joint projects that can be developed with ETU”.
Pointing out that Turkish companies have made important breakthroughs both in Turkey and abroad and that this has positive reflections on our country and projects should be produced according to the needs of the age and they should be implemented, Rector Bülent Çakmak stated that “Our work, which we have carried out within the scope of the vision of the new Council of Higher Education, proceeds in accordance with the Domestic and National Technology move that contributes to the development of our country. We support all kinds of work carried out in accordance with this vision, whether it is within our university or by our external stakeholders. On this occasion, I wish success to BEB 3D Design firm, which carries out its works to create added value for our country, especially in Erzurum and its region ”.

In the second part of consultation visit, within the scope of R & D and innovation studies Rector Bülent Çakmak with Asst. prof. Ahmet İlker Akbaba ETÜ Continuing Education Application and Research Center Director Dr. Lecturer With its member Ahmet Akbaba, met with Erzurum 1st Organized Industrial Zone Chairman Murat Urkuç , industrialists and business people in Erzurum 1st Organized Industrial Zone and made examinations at the production facilities.
Rector Bülent Çakmak, who gave information about the High Technology and Research Center (YÜTAM) established within ETÜ during the examinations, stated that YÜTAM is a very important value not only for ETÜ but for all industrial enterprises producing in Erzurum and its region, and He also underlined that they are ready to provide support in any matter necessary.
Stating that university-industry collaborations will make significant contributions to the future of Erzurum and its region, Rector Bülent Çakmak said that we are trying to create new synergies by bringing together ETÜ's strong academic staff and advanced infrastructure opportunities with the industry.
Especially in line with this mission imposed on us by being a technical university, we have opened the doors of our university to our whole city since the day we took office. In this context, we will be pleased to create joint working areas with the affiliates of the 1st Organized Industrial Zone ”.
