Asst. Prof. Metin Aydar, one of faculty members at Erzurum Technical University (ETU) Faculty of Arts, Department of History was deemed worthy of an award in the biography category within the scope of the "Writer, Intellectual Man and Artists of the Year" awards, which is the most prestigious literary award of our country, with his work titled "A Life Dedicated to the Red Apple: Merzifonlu Kara Mustafa Paşa".
This biographical work, written by Asst. Prof. Aydar about the life of Merzifonlu Kara Mustafa Paşa, won the first prize in the biography category as a result of the evaluations made by the Writers' Union of Turkiye. While the work makes a significant contribution to Turkish history and culture, it stands out with Aydar's academic knowledge and deep research.
Congratulating Aydar ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak made an evaluation on the subject and said: “The award received by Metin, one of our colleagues, is a source of great pride for both our university and our city.
