ETU's Success Continues at TEKNOFEST

Erzurum Technical University (ETU) achieved great success at the Mediterranean stage of TEKNOFEST 2024, the world's largest technology festival. Five teams representing ETU competed in the categories of Agricultural Technologies, Smart Transportation, Wireless Communication, and Biotechnology, overcoming tough challenges to make it to the finals. The team competing in the Agricultural Technologies category drew attention with their innovative projects aimed at future agricultural solutions. ETU's team in the Smart Transportation category stood out with projects that addressed urban transportation issues, and they gained attention with their innovative ideas on autonomous vehicle technologies and smart city applications. Meanwhile, ETU students showcased their skills in the Wireless Communication category by presenting innovative ideas aimed at enhancing speed and security in wireless networks, shaping the future of communication systems. In the field of Biotechnology, the team impressed the jury with their projects focused on health and environmental solutions, earning a spot in the finals.

After congratulating the students for their success in the Mediterranean stage, ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bulent Cakmak stated, “As part of TEKNOFEST 2024, our university has a total of 27 applications and 18 finalist teams. The fact that our teams have reached the finals once again highlights our students' success in the fields of science and technology and their determination to contribute to the development of our country. This achievement also demonstrates the strength of our university's scientific infrastructure and its support for student projects. I congratulate all our finalist teams in TEKNOFEST 2024 once again and wish them continued success.”
