An award ceremony was held at Erzurum Technical University (ETU) for academics and students who, with their work in 2022, were supported by TUBITAK and the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, and who added value to Erzurum and our country with their utility model studies in the application process.

The event held in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Ali Fatih Yetim, Prof. Dr. Ceren Sultan Elmalı, Secretary General Assoc. Dr. Ahmet Dumlu, award-winning academics and students attended.

Rector Çakmak, who came to the podium to make the opening speech of the program, stated that the number of projects and patent applications increased each year: “Coming together with our professors, who are the owners of the public and private sector supported projects they have prepared in 2022, they both congratulate themselves and evaluate the next process together and increase these numbers. We wanted to consult on the steps that need to be taken to pull it up. Of course, first of all, I would like to express that; The studies carried out are very valuable both in terms of your own career and in terms of the awareness of our university. We caught a rising trend in 2022. As a matter of fact, 5 of our 1001 Projects, 10 of our 1002 Rapid Support Projects and 2 of our 3501 Career Projects were supported. Considering the number of our faculty members, this situation can be evaluated as a relatively good percentage compared to many universities. With your efforts, we will spread the project culture throughout our university and we will ensure that these numbers increase much higher”.

The program ended with Rector Çakmak presenting a certificate of appreciation to the academics whose project was supported and whose patent applications were accepted.
