At Erzurum Technical University (ETU) an award ceremony was held for the technology teams participating in TEKNOFEST 2023 and the Construction Club, which won a degree in the International Bridge Competition hosted by Boğaziçi University.

ETU President Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak, Vice Presidents Prof. Dr. Ali Fatih Yetim, Prof. Dr. Ceren Sultan Elmalı, Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Dumlu and many academicians and students attended.

The programme started with ETU Technology Teams Coordinator Res. Asst. Gürkan Kalınay's presentation of ETU's TEKNOFEST statistics for 2022 and 2023, and ETU TEKNOFEST Coordinator Lect. Ali Necip Nursoy gave information about the future benefits of the competitions for students and the work done as a stakeholder of TEKNOFEST.

President Çakmak, who spoke at the programme, congratulated the students who successfully represented ETU and said: “We have gathered for the purpose of congratulating the teams we sent to TEKNOFEST here today and the students of ETU Construction Club, who came in 3rd in the 16th International Bridge Competition, hosted by Boğaziçi University. Of course, the certificates of appreciation we will present here have a symbolic meaning. However, I sincerely believe that our students will receive their real rewards after graduating from our university while they are in the process of finding a job. In addition, we will share the experiences we have gained together here, and we will both identify the shortcomings of our teams and talk about what needs to be done for the summit, as well as discuss the steps to be taken in order to involve the students in all our departments in this process. On this occasion, once again, I congratulate all of our students and professors who try to represent our university in the best possible way in any organisation they attend, and wish them continued success.”

The programme ended with President Çakmak and Vice President Yetim presenting certificates of appreciation to the students and taking a souvenir photo.
