On the National Afforestation Day, a sapling planting event was held at Erzurum Technical University (ETU).

In addition to ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak, Erzurum Deputy Governor Lokman Düzgün, Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Zafer Aynalı, Erzurum Regional Director of Forestry Oktay Ayatay, representatives of many public institutions and organizations, university members and students attended the event held across the Guesthouse on the campus campus.
