Representing our country at the Masters World Winter Games, Erzurum Technical University Health Sciences Institute Physical Education and Sports Teaching Department graduate student Fatma İrşat Yılmaz left all her competitors behind in the Figure Skating branch and won the gold medal.
National athlete Fatma İrşat Yılmaz, who represented our country at the Lombardia Adult B2W World Winter Olympics held in Italy, made her name at the top by scoring 31.01 points in the Ice Skating branch, where many athletes from 24 different countries showed their skills.
After the trophy ceremony, Fatma drew attention to the massacres that Israel has been carrying out in Gaza for more than 100 days and said: "I dedicate my victory to all the children in Palestine who inspired me and made me stand tall."
ETU Rector Prof. hosted the national athlete in his office and congratulated him. Dr. Bülent Çakmak: “Fatma won the bronze medal at the European Figure Skating Championships in 2023. This year, our student, who competed in the Olympics, won the gold medal, raised our flag and made the whole world listen to our National Anthem. He made our country, our city and our university very proud with his success. “I wholeheartedly congratulate him once again and wish him continued success,” she said.
