Erzurum Kızılay Branch Directorate organized a blood donation campaign at Erzurum Technical University (ETÜ).

Within the scope of the work carried out by the Turkish Kızılay to provide the blood needed throughout our country, the Kızılay Erzurum Branch Directorate opened a stand at ETÜ.

Erzurum Kızılay Branch, which opened stands in the faculties and the library, gave information about the importance of blood donation and conducted blood tests and blood pressure measurements of students and staff who wanted to donate. Donors who met the appropriate criteria were then taken to blood donation points and donated blood.

ETÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak visited the Kızılay stand, chatted with the students and academics who donated blood for a while, and then received information about the work done from the authorities. Rector Çakmak then presented the gold medal given by the Red Crescent to Hüseyin Salih Özarslan, a graduate student of the Department of Economics, who donated blood 41 times within the scope of the Safe Blood Supply Project.

Stating that blood donation has become a culture at ETÜ, Blood Donor Recruitment Specialist Turgay Burul said: “The work we do here in order to provide the blood needed especially in the harsh winter conditions in our region is of great importance to us. We thank our student brothers for the intense interest they showed to our stand. Our esteemed Rector never turns us down and always shows his support. "We thank them and the entire ETU Family," he said.
