After the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes, the epicenter of which was the Pazarcık and Elbistan districts of Kahramanmaraş, Erzurum Technical University (ETU) mobilized all its means to help the region, continuing its academic field research studies with a team of Faculty of Engineering and Architecture faculty members, as well as in-kind and cash aid. is doing.

The team, which moved to the region on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, within the scope of the project titled "Field Observation Study After the 6 February 2023, Kahramanmaraş Pazarcık and Elbistan Earthquakes" supported by the TÜBİTAK 1002-C: Natural Disasters Focused Field Study Emergency Support Program, conducted a structural performance examination in the settlements affected by the earthquake. completed his studies.

In addition to the academic field observation studies, ETU Construction and Technical Department personnel, Cons. Eng. Faruk Caglaroglu, Ins. Eng. Mehmet Güngör and İnş. Eng. Davut Altındağ continues his damage assessment studies in Malatya's Kuluncak district.
