Ziya Gokalp Panel was held at Erzurum Technical University (ETU) on the 100th Anniversary of His Death.

The panel, held at Prof. Dr. Muammer Yaylalı Conference Hall to commemorate the great Turkish thinker Ziya Gokalp and understand his world of thought, was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Naim Urkmez, Dean of the Faculty of Letters Prof. Dr. Ugur Akbulut, academicians and many students.

The panel, moderated by Prof. Dr. Kemal Bakır, a faculty member of the Philosophy Department of the Faculty of Letters of ETU, featured Prof. Dr. Ali Utku and Prof. Dr. Nuray Karaca from Ataturk University Faculty of Letters, and Prof. Dr. Murat Kacıroglu and Res. Asst. Hasan Dasdemir from ETU.

In the program that was followed with interest, Ziya Gokalp's life, his works as well as his understanding of history, his influence on Turkish Sociology, his understanding of philosophy and his contribution to Turkish Philosophy, his place in Turkish Language and Literature were discussed by the panelists.
