Erzurum Technical University (ETU) Economic and Social Research Application and Research Center (ESAM) and Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) organized a panel titled “Access to Data and Information”.

ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bulent Cakmak, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Naim Urkmez, Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) Regional Director Mehmet Fatih Temucin, TUIK employees, academicians and students attended the panel organized to discuss information and ways of accessing data.

The panel, which started with the opening speech of ESAM Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kubranur Cebi Karaaslan in the Muammer Yaylalı Conference Hall, provided information to the audience on topics such as information and data acquisition processes from TUIK, data group types, data request and acquisition options, information request and acquisition processes, what can be requested via e-government and how to access which data groups.

After the questions of the participants who followed the panel with interest were answered, It ended with Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Naim Urkmez presenting certificates of appreciation to the panelists.
