Education Seminar on Horizon Europe Program was Held at ETU

Within the scope of the European Union 9th Framework Program for academics at Erzurum Technical University (ETU), a training seminar was held for the Horizon Europe program, which supports science and innovation activities with a budget of 95.5 billion Euros between the years 2021-2027.

The training seminar held in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Fatih Yetim, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture Prof. Dr. Murat Demir Aydın and many academicians attended.

Dean Aydın, who spoke at the opening of the program, stated that the Horizon Europe Program will be very beneficial not only in terms of scientific competence but also in social and cultural terms: “The Ninth Framework Program for European Union Projects is a program with a budget of close to 100 billion Euros, and it has a budget of around 100 billion Euros. there is no other program. In this respect, I consider the program very important. ETU is a university with a high potential. Our academics are well-equipped and the infrastructure facilities offered by our university are highly developed. However, it is a fact that we face some financial difficulties in terms of scientific research from time to time. In this respect, Horizon Europe Program is a great opportunity for us. We have a 4-year process ahead of us and we must evaluate this process very well. Our professors can get support in this context by projecting their work. For this reason, I think that the training program we have organized here today will be extremely beneficial for our academic staff and I thank you for your participation.”

In the program that continued after Dean Aydın's speech, Cemile Köseler, Deputy Director of Istanbul Chamber of Industry R&D and Technology Branch, and accompanying experts shared information about the support within the scope of Horizon Europe, the general structure and operation of the program and the evaluation processes with the audience.

After the question and answer session, the program ended with the Vice-Chancellor Yetim presenting a certificate of appreciation to the trainers.
