A Cyber Security seminar was organized at Erzurum Technical University (ETU) in cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Computer Engineering and Tech Club, one of the student communities.

Many students attended the seminar where current developments and career opportunities in the field of cyber security were discussed.

Computer Engineering Department faculty member Assist. Prof. Dr. Merve Yıldırım, one of the faculty members of the Department of Computer Engineering, moderated the hybrid seminar, Cyber Security Expert İlker Burak Adıyaman, who participated as a speaker, stated that job opportunities in the sector are gradually expanding and gave information to the audience about the types of cyber attacks, penetration tests and tools used and career opportunities.

Commenting on the event, Assist. Prof. Dr. Yıldırım pointed out that today cyber security has become a necessity at both institutional and individual level: "The fact that the concept of internet has become an integral part of our lives and its use is increasing day by day increases the importance of cyber security. In our department, our students receive comprehensive training on this subject. In addition, with various events we organize, we bring our students together with the leading names of the sector and enable them to benefit from their knowledge and experience. In this context, Burak İlker Adıyaman, who has accomplished important works in the field of cyber security in Turkey and abroad, gave very valuable information to our students."
