Assoc. Prof., one of the faculty members of Erzurum Technical University (ETÜ), Faculty of Science, Faculty of Basic Sciences. Dr. The project titled "BoroTADF: Development of TADF-OLED Technology with Boron-Sulphone Based Fluorescent Materials", led by Murat Aydemir, was entitled to receive support within the scope of TÜBİTAK-3501 Career Development Program.
The project developed at ETÜ Laboratories aims to discover the applicability potential of boron-sulphone-based organic molecules to new generation organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technologies and to reveal the structural properties of boron, especially in the field of organic electronics.
Sharing details about the project, Assoc. Dr. Stating that boron has an increasing importance in strategic areas such as electronics and display technologies, Aydemir said: “With our project, we aim to increase Turkey's potential in this field by drawing attention to the applicability of boron in the field of organic electronics. Results from the project will not only advance the understanding of the Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence (TADF) mechanism on boron-containing structures, but will also lay the groundwork for the development of high-performance OLEDs with a wider color range. This will strengthen Turkey's position in the field of organic electronics and increase its competitiveness in the international arena. "We believe that the project, in which we emphasize the strategic importance of boron, will make a significant contribution to the scientific and technological progress of our country," he said.
