The project titled "Synthesis of Two-Dimensional Janus In2SSe Material and Its Experimental Investigation of Gas Sensing Properties for the First Time," led by Ayca COSKUN, a Ph.D. student in the Photonics program at Erzurum Technical University, with Prof. Dr. Guven TURGUT as the advisor and Dr. Mehtap Aygun CAGLAR as the researcher, has been awarded funding under the TUBITAK 1002 program.
The project aims to design and modify next-generation functional two-dimensional materials for the highly sensitive detection of air pollutants, toxic, and flammable gases at low concentrations. The TUBITAK-supported project is significant for detecting air pollutants that contribute to global warming and harmful gases that threaten human health. Its outcomes will be critical in protecting humans and other species in environments such as living spaces, industry, agriculture, laboratories, and transportation.
