The 1st Graduate Student Symposium in Social Sciences Held at ETU

The 1st Graduate Student Symposium in Social Sciences was held under the auspices of Erzurum Technical University (ETU).

The aim of the symposium, held in a hybrid format at the Prof. Dr. Muammer Yaylalı Conference Hall to address current developments in social sciences from various disciplinary perspectives and to bring together academicians and students from different universities. ETU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Fatih Yetim, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Prof. Dr. Engin Oner, Dean of the Faculty of Literature Prof. Dr. Ugur Akbulut, Director of the Institute of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Serap Bedir, and many academicians and students attended the opening program of the 1st Graduate Student Symposium in Social Sciences.

Speaking at the opening of the program, Prof. Dr. Bedir, the Director of the Institute of Social Sciences and the Chair of the Symposium Organizing Committee, expressed satisfaction with the intense interest in the symposium, stating: "As the Institute of Social Sciences, we are committed to making contributions to the career development of our students. During these three days, our students will gain valuable knowledge, benefit from the experiences of our professors from various parts of our country, and form new friendships. Additionally, I would like to emphasize the importance of raising awareness for different branches of science and developing a culture of multidisciplinary work through the symposium. I thank all our participants, especially our Rector Prof. Dr. Bulent Cakmak, for not leaving us alone in this process and for their contributions to the organization of our symposium."

During the symposium, which saw participation from 48 universities across Turkey, 130 papers were presented ranging from history to economics, psychology to philosophy, and academicians delivered lectures on various topics.
