Erzurum Technical University (ETÜ) won the gold medal in the Floor Curling Turkey Championship.

It took the first place in the Universities Sports League (ÜNİLİG) Floor Curling Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation and hosted by Gaziantep University on 9-10 December.

In the championship where 13 teams took part, ETÜ eliminated all its opponents and advanced to the finals. Defeating Necmettin Erbakan University in the final with a score of 5-3, ETÜ Floor Curling Men's Team brought the gold medal to Erzurum.

Making a statement after the cup ceremony, ETÜ Floor Curling Teams Coach and Faculty Member of the Faculty of Sports Sciences Assoc. Prof. Murat Turan stated that they were very happy: “We trained intensively five days a week until we reached this point. We were rewarded for our hard work by winning the gold medal undefeated. We thank our Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak, whose support we always felt behind us in this process and the entire ETÜ Family."
