ETU's Health Sciences Faculty Gets New Labs, Making It Stronger Than Ever

Two new labs were ceremoniously opened at Erzurum Technical University's (ETU) Faculty of Health Sciences.

Students at the Faculty of Health Sciences' Department of Nutrition and Dietetics will be able to obtain a better education and put their theoretical knowledge into practice thanks to the newly opened Nutrition Principles and Food Chemistry Laboratories, which were ceremoniously placed into service.

Academicians, students, and the following individuals were present at the opening program: ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bulent Cakmak, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Ali Fatih Yetim, Prof. Dr. Naim Urkmez, Prof. Dr. Ceren Sultan Elmalı, Secretary General Prof. Dr. Ahmet Dumlu, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Elanur Yılmaz Karabulutlu, and many more.

The new laboratories will enhance the Faculty of Health Sciences, according to Dean Prof. Dr. Elanur Yılmaz Karabulutlu, who delivered the program's opening statement. "Today, we see the importance of nutrition on the agenda more than ever," he added. It is our duty and our hope for the future to get an accurate understanding of food composition, to build nutritional principles on solid scientific groundwork, and to direct research that will improve people's quality of life. Our students are able to apply what they have learned in the classroom, make meaningful contributions to the advancement of science, and hone their professional skills in these labs, which serve as both research and educational spaces. I hope our laboratories are useful, and I'd want to take this opportunity to thank everyone—particularly our Rector—who has worked so hard to bring them to our university and faculty.

Laboratory facilities are crucial for the practical application of theoretical courses, according to Rector Çakmak, who followed Dean Karabulutlu in making this point. He highlighted that all of the present departments must have state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. That is, we are striving mightily to eradicate our shortcomings in this regard. Opening a laboratory today is, of course, something we are very pleased and proud of. On the other hand, we know that we need to be proactive and plan ahead at all times. The health care industry has a profound impact on people's lives, thus we put a premium on producing competent graduates. We are committed to making every effort to enhance the options that are available to you. He expressed his hope that everyone will benefit from their time in the Nutrition Principles and Food Chemistry Laboratories.
