Erzurum Technical University (ETU) Faculty of Letters, Department of English Language and Literature, Assistant Professor. Emel Zorluoglu Akbey's project titled "Ottoman/Turkish Women Writers Writing in English from the Ottoman Empire to Contemporary Turkey as World Literature Writers" was entitled to receive support within the scope of TÜBİTAK 3005 Innovative Solutions in Social Sciences and Humanities Research Projects Support Programme.

With the project developed, while questioning the place of the authors to be analysed in world literature, it is aimed to question the classical understanding of history by highlighting women writers and to ensure that history is rewritten in favour of women. Stating that they will bring a new breath to women's studies, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zorluoğlu stated that the project will provide the ability to look at national and international literature from different windows.
