A cooperation protocol was signed between Erzurum Technical University (ETÜ) and Azerbaijan Technical University.
Strengthening the bridge of cooperation with its stakeholders abroad in line with its internationalization vision, ETÜ signed a protocol with Azerbaijan Technical University covering education and training activities.
ETÜ Rector Prof. attended the signing ceremony held at the Rectorate Meeting Hall. Dr. Bülent Çakmak, Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University Prof. Dr. Vilayat Valiyev and his accompanying delegation, ETÜ Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Ali Fatih Yetim and Prof. Dr. Ceren Sultan Elmalı attended.
With the signed protocol, an agreement was reached on carrying out project studies for scientific and technological research in partnership with the two universities, organizing symposiums, congresses and conferences regarding research activities, sharing academic materials, organizing training programs and workshops, student exchange at undergraduate and graduate levels and academic staff mobility. .
Speaking at the ceremony, Rector Çakmak expressed his satisfaction in hosting the guests from Azebaijan at ETÜ and said: “The protocol we signed with Azerbaijan Technical University is not just an academic cooperation. It is also an agreement that will contribute to the strengthening of the bonds of friendship between one nation and two states. "On this occasion, I once again hope that our protocol will be beneficial," he said.
Rector Valıyev thanked Rector Çakmak and his team for their hospitality and said, “We are very pleased to benefit from ETÜ's knowledge. "I believe that our cooperation in the coming period will have concrete outcomes and I wish the protocol to be beneficial," he said.
After the signatures were signed, Rector Çakmak took his guests to ETÜ's innovation centers and shared information about the studies carried out at the High Technology Application and Research Center, Kristal Entrepreneurship Center and MUCİTPARK Science and Idea Workshop. The delegation then went to Erzurum City Archives (ERŞA), where they had the opportunity to get to know Erzurum's deep-rooted history and rich cultural heritage.
