On World Human Rights Day, the Sustainable Psychology Services in the Context of Human Rights Summit was held with the cooperation of Erzurum Technical University (ETU) and the Psychology Club, one of the student societies of the Faculty of Letters.

Rector Çakmak: The Subject of Psychological Science is Human and Its Rights
Rector Bülent Çakmak, who took the podium to make the opening speech of the program organized to raise awareness and disseminate the declaration on December 10, the day the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted, pointed out that today's consumption habits of people have changed significantly: Being forced to be productive in conditions where human rights are violated creates a problem for you, my dear fellow students, who want to take part in the business world. Studies showing that the prevalence of burnout, anxiety, depression and similar psychological conditions in employees are increasing, point out that this problem is becoming more and more common. On the other hand, as will be discussed at the summit, one of the elements of ignoring human rights within the scope of the sustainability crisis is the neglect and abuse of children. The problems that children who are neglected and abused in their first years of life will experience due to being deprived of psychological help may cause functional crises that they may experience when they become adults, which can lead to major problems for humanity. In short, it is the human subject of Psychological Science and its rights that have made us gather here today. The person acquires these rights at birth; makes it equal with people of all ages, races and socio-economic classes around the world. Consequences of acting towards unsustainable goals by disregarding or disregarding it, It will hurt us and all humanity. Dear participants, I am very happy as an education institution manager and teacher that you came to our summit and spared time for us. I hope you all leave our summit one step ahead of your current self and your world of ideas expanded. I would like to thank you again for your efforts and to the friends who prepared the summit and took part as speakers”.
Deputy Chairman Polat: My Advice to Young People Don't Decide Without Research
Speaking after Rector Çakmak, Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Fevzi Polat stated that the 21st century brought many innovations and negativities for humanity and said, “Today, we live in an age of pleasure and speed. This age of pleasure and speed emerges as a process that seriously affects people's psychology. The business world also takes advantage of this situation to the fullest, trying to direct people's minds and profit from this situation. Society is aware of this. Because we can be guided very quickly and global imperialism can attract the masses to where it wants through the management of society. My advice to my younger brothers is that please do your research and make up your mind, no matter where it comes from or whoever it comes from. With these feelings, I congratulate our valuable professors who participated in our panel and my student brothers who contributed to this organization and wish you all a good day.” used the phrases.

Speaking at the program, Psychology Club President Feyyaz Kaya, one of the ETU Faculty of Letters student societies, said that the aim of the club was to contribute to the professional development of students studying psychology and to ensure that the Science of Psychology was introduced to the public in the public language and said, "I think that the purpose of our club is similar to the concept of sustainability in this respect. . Sustainability refers to the use of existing natural resources and human resources in a renewable way. Today, there are not only psychology students among us. We saw that the number of participants who applied to our summit approached seven hundred people. When I see participants from more than one field, I remember our club's slogan "Psychology for All".
