Cooperation Protocol Signed Between ETÜ and Nakhchivan State University

A Social and Scientific Cooperation Protocol was signed between Erzurum Technical University (ETÜ) and Nakhchivan State University, covering the joint organization of education, science, art, sports and cultural activities.

ETÜ Rector Prof. Dr Bülent Çakmak, Rector of Nakhchivan State University Prof. Dr. Elbrus İsayev and ETÜ Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Fatih Yetim and Assoc. Prof. Ahmet İlker Akbaba from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences attended the signing ceremony held online. 

With the protocol signed between the two universities, agreement was reached on the issues carrying out joint project studies for scientific or technological research, organizing scientific, social and cultural meetings such as symposiums, congresses and conferences regarding project and research activities, sharing academic materials, exchanging students and faculty members through ERASMUS and TÖMER programs.

Speaking at the ceremony, Rector Çakmak stated that the historical ties of the two countries go back very old and deep and said: “I am very pleased and proud that the universities of two countries with such meaningful and strong ties cooperate in social, cultural and scientific terms. I believe that we will create great work together in the coming period. "On this occasion, I would like to thank once again those who contributed to the signing of our protocol and wish it to be beneficial for our institutions."

Stating that Nakhchivan Devtet University has close relations with universities in Turkey, Rector Isayev said: “Erzurum and its region have always had a very important place for us. With the protocol we signed, we will contribute to the strengthening of the friendship of the two brother countries and will pave the way for both universities to benefit from each other's knowledge in scientific and academic terms. "In this sense, I hope that the signed protocol will be beneficial to our universities," he said.
