A cooperation protocol for graduate education was signed between Erzurum Technical University (ETU) and Erzurum Airdrome Command.

ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak and Erzurum Airdrome Commander Colonel Ferhat Erzen, as well as Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Ali Fatih Yetim, Prof. Dr. Ceren Sultan Elmalı, Secretary General Assoc. Dr. Ahmet Dumlu, Director of the Institute of Natural Sciences Assoc. Dr. Bünyamin Özgeriş and Director of the Institute of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Serap Bedir Kara attended the signing ceremony held at the Rectorate Meeting Hall.

Within the scope of the signed protocol, Erzurum Airdrome Command personnel will be able to benefit from the graduate programs carried out within ETU in order to contribute to their professional and academic development.

Rector Çakmak made statements after the signing ceremony, wishing the protocol to be beneficial for both institutions: "We are very happy to welcome the members of the Turkish Armed Forces, the apple of our country's eye, under the roof of our university. As you know, we have activated our Aviation and Space Engineering department as of this year and received our first students. I believe that when our students graduate from here, they will play an important role in the development of domestic and national technologies in the fields of aviation and space engineering. In this process, we will be in mutual cooperation with our stakeholders. With the protocol we signed today, we will share the knowledge of our university with Erzurum Airdrome Command and benefit from their field experiences when necessary. On this occasion, I wish our protocol to be beneficial for our institutions once again."
