2nd Psychology Summit Hosted by ETÜ Started

The 2nd Psychology Studies and Research Summit, organized under the leadership of Erzurum Technical University (ETÜ) and with the contributions of Erzurum Municipality, has started.

The summit, organized in cooperation with ETÜ Psychology Application and Research Center (ETÜPAM) and the Psychology Club, one of the student organizations, to raise awareness about mental health in the society and to bring together students and leading names in the field of psychology, will continue for two days.

Topics such as attention control skills towards anxiety-related stimuli in children and adolescents, ethics in psychological approach, holistic approaches in mental health, innovative methods in psychology research, psychology and social responsibility will be discussed by experts and academicians.

ETÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ceren Sultan Elmalı, Dean of the Faculty of Letters Prof. Dr. Uğur Akbulut, academicians and many students attended the opening of the program held at Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Conference Hall.

Psychology Club President Feyyaz Kaya, who made the opening speech of the summit, stated that the main purpose of the club is to introduce the science of psychology to the society and said: "We will realize our mission, which has become our mission, to bring together professionals working in the field of psychology studies and research, with students and everyone who is interested in this field, in the next two days. In this way, we will encourage the sharing of knowledge and experience and discuss advanced applications and current perspectives. "Psychology for Everyone" "I would like to thank everyone who contributed, especially our Rector, who supported us on this path we set out with the motto," he said.

 Director of the Psychology Application and Research Center, who took the podium after Kaya. Assoc. Prof. Dr. İlayda Türk Höl said that life today is more complex and living conditions are more demanding than in the past and said: “As a branch of science, psychology, with its unique problem conceptualizations, research methods and techniques, and the capacity to develop multidisciplinary perspectives and applications, helps both individuals and individuals.” It also has the power to contact societies directly and indirectly. "Fortunately, the fact that efforts to diagnose and meet psychology-themed needs at a universal level is a very important part of human well-being is now accepted by the masses and is within the field of view of those at the decision-making level."
