The "2021 Accessible University Awards" given by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) found their owners.

In this direction, Erzurum Technical University (ETU) has received 5 flags in the "Accessibility in Space" category within the scope of the "Accessibility University Awards" given by YÖK since 2018, and has its name written among the unimpeded universities. The “Barrier-Free University Awards”, which has been held every year since 2018 in order to encourage the creation of an unimpeded ecosystem in universities, found their owners with an online ceremony attended by the rectors of participating universities.

Making a point on the subject, ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak stated that they are very happy to have received 5 flags within the scope of the Barrier Free Universities Awards organized by YÖK in order to raise awareness about the access of disabled individuals to places, educational opportunities and socio-cultural activities and to spread good practices.
