ETÜ Discussed Artificial Intelligence and Current Developments in Education

The fourth Good Examples in Education Workshop organized by Erzurum Technical University (ETU) Distance Education Application and Research Center was held with the theme of "Artificial Intelligence and Current Developments in Education".

ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bعlent ژakmak, as well as many academicians and students attended the workshop, which addressed topics such as artificial intelligence-supported education applications, innovative teaching methods and the impact of technology on education.

Speaking at the opening of the program, Rector Cakmak drew attention to the importance of artificial intelligence applications and said: “We follow current developments to make education and training applications more qualified and high-quality. We consult with both our internal and external stakeholders on what we can do to ensure that our students who choose our university graduate as more equipped individuals. In this context, the Good Examples in Education Workshop, which we traditionally organize, is being organized this year with the theme of artificial intelligence and current developments in education. I believe that the outputs of our workshop will be very useful for our students and professors and I would like to thank those who contributed to the organization of the program.”

Following Rector Cakmak's speech, the workshop continued with presentations from academics, and Asst. Prof. Mehmet Akın Bulut implemented interactive applications on new generation educational technologies, the place of artificial intelligence in education, its use in teaching processes, and measuring artificial intelligence awareness. Participants had the opportunity to gain practical experience on the integration of artificial intelligence in education through these applications.

After Dr. Inci Trout, who connected to the workshop online from America, made a presentation on the effective use of artificial intelligence in education, Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Baygın informed the audience about the developments in ChatGPT and similar large language models in the last year.

The workshop, which was completed with face-to-face sessions, ended with Rector Cakmak presenting certificates of appreciation to the speakers.
