Erzurum Technical University (ETU) also took action for the earthquake, the epicenter of which was in the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş and affecting many cities.
ETÜ senior management gathered under the leadership of Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak and formed a team of 26 volunteer technical personnel to support the search and rescue efforts in the region.
As a result of the meetings with the Rector Çakmak and his administration, who went to the Erzurum Provincial Disaster and Emergency Directorate (AFAD) with the team, it was decided to go to Hatay, one of the cities most affected by the earthquake.
While it was learned that there were needs for winter clothes such as gloves, coats, boots, berets, blankets and cleaning materials in the region, an aid campaign was started by ETU to be sent to the earthquake-affected regions.
