AK Party Deputy Chairman and Head of Information and Communication Technologies Dr. Ömer İleri, Erzurum AK Party Provincial Chairman İbrahim Küçükoğlu and the accompanying delegation were the guests of Erzurum Technical University (ETU) President Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak.

President Bülent Çakmak first took his guests to ERŞA, which was established to bring together written and visual documents such as newspapers, magazines, annuals, photographs, films and archive documents that reflect Erzurum's deep-rooted history and rich cultural heritage, to cast a lasting value. Here, the founder of ERŞA, a member of Faculty of Arts, Department of History, Prof. Dr. Murat Küçükuğurlu informed the delegation about the documents and historical artifacts in the museum. Afterwards, the delegation made a virtual trip to the streets of Erzurum in the Ottoman period with the metaverse, together with the children who were hosted in Erzurum within the Provincial Directorate of National Education due to the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes and received training in many fields from coding to virtual reality at the MUCITPARK Science and Idea Workshop.

After the visit to ERŞA President Çakmak, who took his guests to the High Technology Research Center (YÜTAM), where R&D activities are carried out, gave information about the studies carried out in the field of high technology in the center.

Finally, the delegation went to the ETU Crystal Entrepreneurship Center, which allows the realization of technological business ideas, and met with the teams that were entitled to participate in TEKNOFEST, the biggest technology fair of Turkey, which will start on April 27, and got information about the projects whose software and hardware belong to them.

Thanking President Çakmak for his hospitality, AK Party Deputy Chairman Ömer İleri expressed that the studies carried out in the fields of history, education, science and technology at ETU are very valuable and wished President Çakmak and his administrators success in their work.
