Erasmus+ Autolia-Tech Consortium with the Contributions of Erzurum Technical University: International Academic Cooperation in the Automotive Sector

Erzurum Technical University has joined the Autolia-Tech Consortium, which is carried out within the scope of the Erasmus+ Higher Education Student and Staff Mobility (KA131) Program, as a strategic partner. In this context, ETU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Fatih Yetim and International Cooperation Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eyuphan Manay attended the meeting hosted by Bursa Technical University and evaluated cooperation opportunities with other consortium members. The main objective of the consortium is to strengthen education and research activities in the automotive sector at an international level and to increase mobility opportunities in this field. In this context, students will be offered internship opportunities in European Union countries, while academic staff will be encouraged to receive education and teach. 

The signing ceremony held at the Senate Hall of Bursa Technical University's Mimar Sinan Campus was attended by Bursa Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Naci Caglar, Erzurum Technical University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Fatih Yetim, Iskenderun Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Tolga Depci, Sakarya University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ozer Koseoglu, Adana Alparslan Turkes Science and Technology University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Cihan Cetinkaya, Kırklareli University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Meryem Camur Demir and Sivas Science and Technology University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Emre Bicer.

With the Autolia-Tech Consortium, students and academic staff in various engineering fields, especially computer engineering, electrical-electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering and industrial engineering, will be able to benefit from internship, training and teaching activities to be held in European Union countries. The consortium will be carried out for two years and it is aimed to increase cooperation between universities and develop mobility activities during this process. The Autolia-Tech Consortium stands out as one of the five consortium projects accepted throughout Turkey. In this project, which will last 24 months, 13 students will benefit from internship mobility, 7 academic staff will benefit from teaching mobility and 8 academic staff will benefit from training mobility. The project will set an example for the work to be done in the automotive sector both nationally and internationally, and will be an important reference for future projects.
