The project proposal aims to uncover the medical knowledge and cultural heritage of the Ottoman period by examining "Bahname" texts produced in the intellectual life of the early modern period (15th-18th centuries), which primarily address male and female health and include preventive, supportive, and therapeutic practices. This interdisciplinary study will focus on medicine, folklore, literature, and culture. The project holds significant value as it explores a different aspect of Ottoman medical history and provides insights into the trajectory of medical history in Anatolia from the past to the present.
