The inter-unit Futsal Tournament organized at Erzurum Technical University (ETÜ) within the scope of the 100th Anniversary of our Republic events has ended.

8 teams formed by the faculty and unit staff competed fiercely in the 100th Anniversary Futsal Tournament held at ETÜ Indoor Sports Hall between 6-20 November under the leadership of the Faculty of Sports Sciences.

The final of the tournament, which was organized to reinforce the sense of unity and solidarity in the 100th anniversary of our Republic, was attended by ETÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak, General Secretary Assoc. Dr. Ahmet Dumlu, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences Prof. Dr. Birol Soysal, academics, students and families watched.

In the final of the tournament, where a total of 17 matches were played in 2 groups, the Faculty of Sports Sciences and the Institute of Health Sciences faced each other. The Faculty of Sports Sciences won the breathtaking fight with a score of 9-5 and won the 1st place cup. In the 3rd place match, the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture won the cup by defeating its rival, the Security Unit, 4-3.

Speaking at the cup ceremony held after the competitions, Rector Çakmak stated that the matches were completed in a gentlemanly manner, congratulated all teams participating in the tournament, and then lifted the 1st place cup together with the Team of the Faculty of Sports Sciences.
