The Closing Program of the 1st Erzurum Science High Schools Symposium was held at Erzurum Technical University (ETU).The closing program of the 1st Erzurum Science High Schools Symposium, organized under the auspices of Erzurum Technical University (ETU), was held.

The closing program of the symposium, which was organized in collaboration with ETU and Erzurum Provincial Directorate of National Education to bring together science high schools and science faculties for the purpose of combining education and research, was attended by ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bulent Cakmak, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ceren Sultan Elmalı, Dean of the Faculty of Science Prof. Dr. Umit Incekara, academicians, teachers, and a large number of students.

In his opening speech at the program, Dean Incekara expressed that the symposium was very important in terms of bringing science high schools and science faculties together under the same roof, saying: "As ETU, we have always desired to be in touch with science high schools. In this regard, we have established the necessary contacts and today we are together. This was a beginning. However, in the coming years, we want to organize this symposium with broader participation throughout the region and the country. More than 400 participants attended our symposium, and our students presented over 100 presentations here. Our evaluation committee examined each one of them, and some stood out today. I believe that our friends in this hall will write very successful stories in the future. I would like to thank everyone who did not leave us alone and provided us with all the opportunities of our university, especially our Rector Prof. Dr. Bulent Cakmak, and wish success to our students."

Following Dean Incekara, Rector Cakmak, who took the floor, emphasized the value of the experiences gained by the students in this process, saying: "It is very valuable that you come here with self-confidence and share your questions, thoughts, and ideas without hesitation. You may not realize the value of this today, but you will see it in the future when you start university and enter the business world. I always say, if our students want to be successful, they should participate in project work, seminars, symposiums, and platforms where they can express themselves, in addition to their lessons. I believe that our young people whose eyes sparkle like yours have laid the foundation of this culture here and will continue it in university life. In this regard, I congratulate each one of you for your participation and wish you success."

After the speeches, awards were presented to the students who deserved to receive awards in the categories of Best Original Study, Best Presentation, Best Poster, and Best Advisor Teacher.
