Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent ÇAKMAK met with the representatives of local and national press at a breakfast meeting held at our University. Managers of the academic and administrative units of the University also participated in the meeting. At the meeting, which was held in a sincere environment, firstly, after giving general information about our University, our Rector, who gave information about the issues that the university stated under three main headings in the form of education, scientific and social contribution activities, also talked about the contributions carried out in the last year after he started working as Rector of Erzurum Technical University. One of the issues emphasized specifically by our president was related to the digitization process in education, as being one of the first universities in Turkey that started the process of digital education along with the university’s significant progress in this regard. The fact that digital learning and techniques were started in our university attracted the attention of the press members attended to the meeting. Particularly emphasizing that this transformation of digitalization is directly related to the Professions of the Future along with stating another important point that Bülent ÇAKMAK emphasized was the mission undertaken by Erzurum Technical University for the implementation of various projects in Erzurum in accordance with the R & D activities of the University in cooperation with industry. Stating that this will contribute to our city and country in a positive sense, Rector remarked that the joint R & D portal, whose first steps were taken, will include the regional universities and the studies will be carried out on a common platform.  Also, indicating that a new one added to ETÜ Kristal and Mucitpark, Prof. Dr. Bülent ÇAKMAK mentioned about Erzurum Technical University Psychological Research and Application Center (ETÜPAM). Our Rector indicated that this center is the first center in Eastern Anatolia, and will be active in the field of Family, Child and Developmental Psychology and will meet the needs of both our city and regional cities. It was observed that members of the press showed great interest in this issue.

Afterward, our Rector answering the questions of journalists and members of the press, Prof. Dr. Bülent ÇAKMAK stated that they will continue to work with the same enthusiasm for the development of Erzurum Technical University and for the increase in the social contributions. Thanking the members of the press individually who participated in the meeting. Prof. Dr. Bülent ÇAKMAK stated that such data gathering information meetings will continue from now on.
