Our International Bilateral Cooperation Projects were Supported by TÜBİTAK

International Bilateral Cooperation Projects by the Faculty Members of Our Faculty of Engineering and Architecture Were Supported by TÜBİTAK

Within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement signed between TÜBİTAK and the International Scientific Cooperation Center affiliated to the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran as part of the call for joint research projects opened in 2019, the '5-DOF FDM Printer Design and Manufacturing' project presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet DUMLU, one of our faculty members of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture / Electrical Electronics Engineering Department, and the 'Surface Modification of Nanoparticles and Their Use in Nanofluids' project presented by Asst. Prof. Faraz AFSHARI, one of our faculty members of Mechanical Engineering Department, were deemed worthy to be supported by Tübitak.

Within the scope of the '5-DOF FDM Printer Design and Manufacturing' project presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet DUMLU, it is aimed to produce a new high accuracy 3D printer with layered production technology. The most important advantages of the 3D printer to be developed compared to traditional printers are that it requires less support structures and can shorten the production time. Thanks to this system, the requirement for filament used for material production can be minimized.

Within the scope of the 'Surface Modification of Nanoparticles and Their Use in Nanofluids' project presented by Asst. Prof. Faraz AFSHARI, it is planned to modify the iron oxide surface with hydrophilic and hydrophobic reagents to increase the dispersibility of nanoparticles in polar and non-polar fluids. It is aimed to increase the stability of the nanofluid obtained with this method applied. The thermophysical and heat transfer properties of the new type of nanofluid produced will be improved by means of the modification of nanoparticles.

The graduate and doctorate students studying at our University will take part as scholarship holders in the projects. We congratulate our university teachers and wish them continued success.
