Erzurum Technical University (ETU) hosted the Tulpar Advance Up Hackathon, where
innovative ideas were showcased and young entrepreneurs competed fiercely. Organised
under the leadership of the ETU Tulpar Space and Rocket Club, the event took place on the
university campus between 26 and 28 December with strong participation.
Organised under the leadership of ETU Tulpar Space and Rocket Club, the event saw 23
teams formed by young software developers, engineering students and technology
enthusiasts from across Türkiye engage in a continuous 32-hour development process.
Throughout the competition, participants demonstrated their skills in software
development, algorithm design, problem solving and project management, striving to
produce innovative solutions to real-world problems.
Throughout the event, teams working alongside mentors stood out with both their technical
and multidisciplinary approaches. At the end of the exciting marathon, the jury's evaluations
resulted in the First Prize being awarded to Advance KTU, the Second Prize to Team Ciona
"Reborn", and the Third Prize to the SYNTAX team.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Prof. Dr. Murat Demir Aydın, Dean of the Faculty of
Engineering and Architecture, stated that they aim to hold the event annually, saying: "We
would like to express our gratitude to all our partners who contributed to the realisation of
this valuable event. ETU, as a higher education institution that pioneers scientific and
technological production, will continue to host events that develop young people's
imagination, problem-solving skills, and entrepreneurial potential. Every student who
contributes to the local and national technology initiative is a source of great pride for us. I
would like to thank all the students who participated in this year's Tulpar Advance Up
Hackathon, the young entrepreneurs who turned their ideas into projects, and the Tulpar
Space and Rocket Club and our advisor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Aydemir, who put a lot of
effort into the process."
