Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmuş, President of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) Erol Özvar, YÖK members, ambassadors and rectors attended the opening ceremony held by the Council of Higher Education at the Presidential Complex, with the honor of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Following the speeches, the program continued with President Erdoğan giving awards to the academics and universities who won the "YÖK 2023 Outstanding Achievement Awards" and ended with a group photo.
