Erzurum Technical University (ETU) Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak hosted students from Gaza in his office.

In the meeting organized to share the pain and listen to the demands of Gazan students who continue their education at ETU, Rector Çakmak once again called for an end to the persecution of the innocent people of Gaza: "There is no explanation for the events in Gaza. Israel has been carrying out inhumane attacks for nearly three months, disregarding human rights and universal law. Children, women and innocent civilians are being massacred. So much so that the attacks have now reached the dimension of genocide. We have a heart connection with Gaza. We follow the events there every day and what is happening makes our hearts ache. I hope that this cruelty and reckless attacks will end as soon as possible. You are in our custody here. We will always be with you and we will never leave you alone."

The students, who reiterated their call for the attacks to stop as soon as possible, expressed their problems and conveyed their demands to Rector Çakmak and thanked him for his support.
