Young Researcher of the Year Award in the Field of Psychology Was Given to ETU
At the 24th International Psychological Counseling and Guidance Congress organized in cooperation with the Turkish Psychological Counseling and Guidance Association and Ankara University, Erzurum Technical University (ETU) Faculty of Arts, Department of Psychology faculty member Res. Asst. Adem Kantar was awarded the Young Researcher of the Year award.
Many academicians, experts and representatives of professional organizations attended the congress held between 17-19 November 2023 with the theme "Psychological Counseling and Guidance in Accessible Mental Health Services".
At the congress, which was organized with the aim of disseminating good practice examples, building an environment that will prioritize mental health and raising awareness on this issue, psychological, social, cultural and structural obstacles to accessing mental health services were discussed through declarations, conferences, panels and workshops.
On the last day of the congress, at the award ceremony held with the participation of Rector of Ankara University Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar, Res. Asst. Adem Kantar in Department of Psychology at ETU was deemed worthy of the Young Researcher of the Year Award.
Making an evaluation on the subject Rector of ETU Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak congratulated Kantar and said: “Our university's Faculty of Arts makes a name for itself with both the symposiums it organizes and the work it has done. We are extremely pleased that Adem Kantar, our young researcher in our faculty, was deemed worthy of this award at such an important congress. On this occasion, I once again congratulate our faculty and Mr Kantar wholeheartedly and wish them continued success."
