Erzurum Technical University (ETU) has successfully passed the Quality Management System evaluations conducted by the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK) and has been accredited in the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standard.
The accreditation, achieved through the efforts coordinated by the Quality Coordination Office, certifies that ETU’s quality management system processes comply with both national and international standards.
During the audit process carried out by independent bodies (TÜRKAK), ETU’s institutional governance structure, process-oriented approach, stakeholder relations, and continuous improvement mechanisms were evaluated. As a result of the audit, it was determined that ETU’s quality management system meets the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
In his statement on the matter, ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak emphasized that the accreditation of the quality management system is a significant step toward institutional development, saying: “at ETU, we place great importance on managing all our processes with a quality-oriented approach. This accreditation is highly valuable as it demonstrates that our university’s quality management system aligns with international standards. The certification will serve as a guide for our ongoing efforts to continuously improve our quality processes in the upcoming period. On this occasion, I would like to sincerely thank our University Quality Coordinator Prof. Dr. Fatih Yıldırım and his team, as well as all our staff who contributed to this achievement.”
