Erzurum Technical University (ETU) has achieved another significant milestone as a result of its systematic efforts to strengthen quality assurance in education. The undergraduate programs in Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Molecular Biology and Genetics have met the criteria of the Türkiye Qualifications Framework (TYÇ) and earned the right to use the TYÇ logo.
Under the leadership of the Quality Coordination Office, improvements were implemented in many areas, including updating learning outcomes in relevant programmes, aligning curricula with TYÇ levels, strengthening quality assurance processes, and more effectively implementing a student-centred approach to education. Following the alignment of programme competencies with TYÇ standards, the external evaluation process was successfully completed, resulting in five undergraduate programmes being awarded the TYÇ logo.
ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak, commenting on the matter, stated that this achievement is a result of ETU's determined steps towards its goal of excellence in education: "At ETU, we place qualified, transparent, and internationally compliant education at the center of our strategic priorities. Obtaining the right to use the TYÇ logo is an important indicator that our programs are fully compliant with the national qualification system. I believe that all our programs will obtain Türkiye Qualifications Framework (TYÇ) certification in the near future. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our academic and administrative staff who contributed to this process."
