Şeyma Düztaş, a second-year student at the Erzurum Technical University (ETU) Faculty of Sports Sciences, Department of Coach Education, and an athlete at Fenerbahçe Sports Club, won the bronze medal at the World Boxing Championship.

Competing in the women's +80 kilogram category at the World Boxing Championships held in Liverpool, England, national athlete Düztaş defeated her Saudi Arabian opponent to become third in the world and win the bronze medal.

Speaking after the championship, national athlete Düztaş stated that the victory he achieved meant a great deal to both himself and our country, saying, "We went through a challenging preparation process. The matches were very intense, but it's a source of pride to see the rewards of our tireless work. I'm so happy to have brought this pride to my country. I'd like to thank my family, my coaches, my club, and the Erzurum Technical University family, who have always been there for me. This medal will be a starting point for even greater goals."
