A panel was held at Erzurum Technical University (ETU) on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the death of Abdurrahim Serif Beygu.
ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bulent Cakmak, academicians, students and many citizens attended the panel organized in Prof. Dr. Muammer Yaylalı Conference Hall with the cooperation of Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality, ETU, Erzurum Development Foundation (ERVAK) and Erzurum History Association.
In the panel moderated by Faculty of Letters Dean Prof. Dr. Ugur Akbulut, Erzurum City Archive (ERSA) Board Chairman Prof. Dr. Murat Kucukugurlu, Erzurum History Association Chairman Prof. Dr. Omer Ozden, ERVAK Chairman Erdal Guzel, Naci Elmalı and Alparslan Kotan participated as speakers.
The life, books, magazines, letters and various anecdotes of Erzurumlu Abdurrahim Serif Beygu, who made significant contributions to Turkish culture and history, were discussed in the panel.
The panel, which was followed with interest by the audience, ended with Rector Cakmak presenting certificates of appreciation to the panelists and taking a souvenir photo.
