An award ceremony was held at Erzurum Technical University (ETU) for the project teams that were entitled to receive support within the scope of the "2209 University Students Support Program" of the Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) in 2021 and 2022.

ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Ali Fatih Yetim, Prof. Dr. Ceren Sultan Elmalı, Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Dumlu, deans, academicians and students whose projects were accepted attended the event held as a hybrid at the Prof. Dr. Muammer Yaylalı Conference Hall.

Speaking at the opening of the program, Rector Çakmak stating that the event was organized to motivate academicians and students who make projects said: “We are gathered here today to congratulate our students and their supervisors who are entitled to receive support under the 2209 University Students Support Program. It is extremely valuable that our students take part in such projects as much as they are interested in their lessons during their time at the university. As a matter of fact, at every opportunity, we express that these studies will provide them with significant advantages in their employment process. In addition, in the events organized by our career planning center, the representatives whether they are from the private sector or public institutions draw attention to the importance of students having a project culture and being prone to teamwork. In this respect, we were pleased that nearly 80 student projects were supported in the last 2 years at our university. However, I would like to state that we need to work with all our strength to increase these numbers even higher in the upcoming period. On this occasion, I congratulate our students and supervisors who are entitled to receive support once again, and wish them continued success.”

The program ended with Rector Çakmak and Vice-Rectors presenting certificates of appreciation to the students and their supervisors and taking a souvenir photo.
