Commemoration Program for the last prophet ((Mevlid-i Nebi) was organized under the leadership of Erzurum Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Policies and with the contributions of Erzurum Technical University (ETÜ).

Mevlid-i Nebi Program was organized by the children residing within the Nene Hatun Children's Homes Site Directorate affiliated with Erzurum Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Policies to celebrate the 1452nd anniversary of the birth of our Prophet.

ETÜ Rector Prof. attended the program held at ETÜ Life Center Conference Hall. Dr. Bülent Çakmak, Erzurum Family and Social Policies Provincial Director Cemil İlbaş, academicians and many children attended.

Speaking at the opening of the program, which started with the reading of the National Anthem, Rector Çakmak expressed their satisfaction in hosting such a meaningful program and said: “Nearly 300 children live in love homes in our city. Here, they are carefully trained and trained by our teachers and instructors. As educators, we try to show the same care to our students who come to our university. As a matter of fact, they leave their homes, mothers and fathers and come here with a purpose and goal. We protect these trusts and strive to provide the best education without hurting or breaking them. Because we, as members of the Religion of Islam, must struggle to establish a civilization of love and compassion. Our instructors, teachers and mothers who are involved in this process in the homes of love are doing such a valuable job that I hope they will receive the reward for it. Today, we will see the love and compassion they show to our children. These events, held every year thanks to the efforts of our teachers, will remain a wonderful memory for our children. "On this occasion, I would like to wholeheartedly thank the staff of the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Policies, our teachers, and my wife Behtiye, who contributed to the organization of this special program," he said.

Following Rector Çakmak's speech, the program continued with the recitation of the Holy Quran, a cinema show and the reading of poems, and ended with a theater show prepared by the children.
