Awareness Panel on Combating Violence Against Women was organized in cooperation with Erzurum Technical University (ETU) and Erzurum Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services.

Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Hüseyin Koçan, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Küçükuğurlu, General Secretary Assoc. Prof. Tuba Yetim, Erzurum Family and Social Provincial Director Cemil İlbaş, Women's Studies Application and Research Center (EKAUM) Director Emel Zorluoğlu Akbey, Erzurum Violence Prevention and Monitoring Center (ŞÖNİM) Director Şeyma Bingöl in addition to Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak, and many university members and students attended to the event held at the Prof. Dr.  Muammer Yaylalı Conference Hall which is hosted by ETU.

In the program organized in partnership with EKAUM and the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services within the scope of the 25 November activities, which was determined as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the names of women who lost their lives due to violence in the last two months were written on the seats in the hall in order to create empathy and awareness about violence against women. At the entrance of the living room, cards containing detailed information about the women who lost their lives were hung.
